Stephanie Patterson

Stephanie Patterson was originally raised in Roslyn, Washington. She has called Yakima County home for the past 20 years, where she has built a career and started her family. She is running for Treasurer because Yakima County deserves someone with real expertise specific to the office, a strong work ethic, and a genuine commitment to the people of this county.

Stephanie earned her Bachelor's degree from Washington State University, majoring in Accounting with a minor in Political Science. She spent the first decade of her career in both the public and private sectors of the accounting industry before moving into government finance - where she has been employed in the Yakima County Treasurer's Office since 2014. Stephanie currently serves as the Senior Manager for Investments and Banking. She has earned the credential of Certified Government Investment Professional (CGIP), which she utilizes in managing the county's investment portfolio. Over the years, she has implemented several financial software applications for which the Treasurer's Office relies. Her education, combined with her direct institutional knowledge, provides the essential skill-set needed to lead the Treasurer's Office - from internal controls and systems management to tax distribution and governmental revenues.
